Last Friday night's Uncork your Inner Artist was a huge success and I have been asked for more information and booked another party in November so I thought I would share here:
Uncork your Inner Artist - Girls NIGHT IN!
Let your creative spirit shine with a night IN with the girls! Thank you for your interest in hosting an evening with your friends. Local Artist Tracy Weinzapfel will supply all the paints, canvas and creativity for the evening! All you need to ask your friends to bring is a sippable beverage of your choice (and yes, this is about uncorking your inner artist).
You will paint a 12 X 16 canvas as a memento of this fun evening (artwork to be selected)
Class includes: Paints, 12 X 16 canvas, paint brushes. You may wish to bring an apron or old shirt to protect your pretty clothes.
This class is for EVERYONE...beginner to advanced. You don't need to be a trained artist and everyone is welcome. Just bring yourself and enjoy the best night in with your friends. Tracy provides a casual, fun, creative experience where you can relax, create, LAUGH and go home with a memorable and unique canvas. She will guide you in creating your own work of art. Time to uncork that inner artist in you!

About the Teacher:
Teacher - Tracy Weinzapfel, President, Tracy Weinzapfel Studios - I am the mom of three great kids (16 year old son, and boy/girl 11 year old twins). My motto is "Do Something Creative Everyday". I live life with a creative edge and know that art is my calling. Most evenings you can find me in my art studio using all mediums (adhesives, paper, paint, etc.) to express myself. I am honored to tell the amazing stories of each and every person I have created albums including Angela Bassett and our very own President of the United States, Barack Obama! I am living my dreams of sharing my passion with others and encouraging them to do the same!. You can follow my Creative Journal and Gratitude journal on my Blog.... www.tracywburgos.typepad.com.
Thank you very much for taking my class and sharing this creative time with me. I welcome you to share your art with me by emailing them to [email protected]
"We all have quirks and unique perspectives. The more relaxed you become with your own differences, the more comfortable you will start to feel just being YOU. Celebrate being different, off the beaten path, a little on the weird side… your own special creation. If you find yourself feeling like a fish out of water, by all means find a new river to swim in. But DO NOT change who you are; BE who you are."
Last night I gave an Uncork your Inner Artist night for a Bunco Group (which now I think is really a code name for fun girls who get together and call it "Bunco Group"). Great group of women who looked at me with doubt (and took a few sips out of their wine glasses) when I said they would be creating something similar to this.....
I asked all to have an open mind, trust me and just LET IT GO! They did just that and the evening was so much fun!
Let the painting begin!
Their final pieces.....
Fun group of women who uncorked their inner Artists and Let it Go!
Thank you to Lisa, Shar (HAPPY BIRTHDAY) and Julie M. for hosting and inviting me. I had a great time. I have another party planned this month and am excited!
I had a great time as usual doing what I love and taking every opportunity that comes my way to share it.
"Learn to walk in your own shoes imperfectly. If you want to truly grow into your best self, let go of the notion of perfection and replace it with the notion of endless playful exploration. It is better to live your own destiny honestly, joyfully and imperfectly, than to live up to one of society’s contrived expectations with perfection."

Remember if you are not local and want to take this class you can purchase it HERE (limited quantity of kits) and we will have a private class on Ustream on October 29th!
I love when I get to share what I do with others and lately I have been asked to do more of that! One of the latest classes I booked are private ones. Friends want to host wine/canvas nights with their friends. Great idea....two of my favorite things brought together!
Here is the first class, 12" X 16" canvas I designed.......directly from my art journal
I am very excited to teach this twice in October....it is fun when your doodles and ideas from your art journal come to life.....
"You can’t stop the future. You can’t rewind the past. The only way to live is to press play... This moment, after all, is the only time guaranteed to you. Right now is all there ever truly is. Right now is life. Open your eyes so you don’t miss it."
Well Texas, here I come! I am excited to share that I will be attending and teaching at The Collins Group Fall Education & Trade Show in Houston, Texas! I am excited, scared out of my big girl pants, and honored to be among an amazing list of teachers and manufactuers. This is an invite only trade show for retailers and I am beyond honored that FabScraps asked me to attend, teach and represent them. I am a huge fan of their products AND the company so here I come Texas.
Now the push is on to design, kit and knock this class out of the park. I can do it! Now on the inside I am thinking "what the heck have I gotten myself into?" AND I am so glad I did not see the list of fellow teachers that I will be teaching with before I was hired to to do this! Look at this....
Dyan Reaveley
Caroline Lau
Jen Starr
Lori Craig
Marah Johnson
so many more
and..........Tracy Weinzapfel!
Nope, not going to do that and ask "Why Me?". Instead I am going to hope the Creative Gods strike me and allow me to have a great time doing what I LOVE!
And.......to top it off this is a chance to see my girl (cousin and Goddaughter) Christine! Is Texas really ready for both of us? I am not too sure about that!
They say everything is bigger in Texas but it better be ready! I have one goal to cross off the list....a photo with a big Texan with a 10 gallon hat and a hubcap belt-buckle. This should be fun. So Houston, watch out for us! The girls are back together.
So I will leaping and hope some amazing wings spout on the way down, sharing what I love so much and working with a company I equally love. That is a recipe for Awesome! As I remind myself of pushing others to leap I am thankful to those who give me nudges off the cliff to do what I love and share it with others. Another one of those pinch-me moments doing what I love!
As for you little Chrissy-Lou you better be ready.......
Next week on Tracy Staycation 2013 I will be locking myself in my studio and working on an aweome Fabscraps project that will knock some socks off! Thanks Fabscraps!
"The moment you doubt whether you can do something, you cease forever to be able to do it. Don’t be afraid to feel uncomfortable. Don’t be afraid to look uneasy and a little silly in front of others. Dare to try. Step outside of your comfort zone. Believe you can and you’re halfway there."
What a great week it has been creatively! I had two sold out classes at Stamping Details doing what I love.....sharing fun techniques! These classes were all about playing with our Gelli Plates and of course DecoArt paints (my personal favs!). Thank you DecoArt for yet again sponsoring my love of teaching! Everyone loved playing with all the amazing colors!
I want to know do I really look like this?......but I live for those moments of laughter (Thanks Gina for that time)!
Again with the expressions!
Class #1 was Tuesday night and you can catch the SLIDESHOW HERE:
Thanks Mary for helping me out so much, having dinner with me and your friendship...thanks DiAnn for asking me back to teach regularly!
Class #2 was Thursday morning and you can catch the SLIDESHOW HERE:
A special welcome back to Cori from Japan. So great to spend that time with Cori and Cindy. Michaela was my special assistent in class and she loves her preschool teacher Miss Cindy who holds a special place in our hearts!
A very special Thank You to my friend Freke. Freke is moving back to the Netherlands and I am honored her last class at Stamping Details (at least for now) was spent with me! A special Thank you for my gift!!
I say this time and time again..........I love where art has taken me, the color roads I have traveled and the special people I meet. It only excites me more to see what the future holds! I love the sharing of ideas, the ooh's the ahh's and the open creative minds! THANK YOU to all who shared that time with me this week! Stay tuned for my next class!
"Invest your thoughts and time in the things you love. Don’t wait around for too long to get involved in something that moves you. Realize how important it is to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, explore it. Get up and go after it. Embrace it, hug it, love it, and above all, let your passion flow freely."
You just kind of know when you love something.....when you smile like this...
I want to thank everyone who took my TWO classes at Stamping Details this week (SO SORRY I FORGOT MY CAMERA FOR THE FIRST CLASS!). We had so much fun getting our Art ON!
It truly is inpsiring to share what you love and see everyone take it to the next level!
and look at Freke who shared with me! She went home and painted some more!....
a special thank you to my Sponsors DecotArt & The Rubber Cafe! Everyone loved playing with your awesome products and I am proud to work with them!
Thank you so much to Mary for helping me setup and clean up both classes this week. It was so awesome to spend the day with you ♥
Here is a SLIDE SHOW of our Creative Time Together HERE:
What a great way to end the week! Next Stop Las Vegas, NV for WPPI!
"Don’t be so satisfied with the success stories of others and how things have gone for them that you forget to write your own. Unfold your own tale and bring it to life. You have everything you need to become what you are capable of becoming. Incredible change happens when you decide to take control. This means consuming less and creating more. It means refusing to let others do your thinking, talking, and deciding for you. It means learning to respect and use your own ideas and instincts to write your passage."
Who would have thought that 4" X 4" restuarant coasters could become such works of art but that is what just happened with the recent swap that I hosted. It was a great way to share artist expressions of yourself and it was amazing.
Here are the coasters that came my way and I want to thank everyone who participated!
Here are the ones I made for all three groups....
The best way for me to share this swap is via a slide show so you can see all the amazing pieces I got to see....VIEWED HERE:
What a complete honor to bring all these Artists together to share their hearts and work....Stay tuned for details on the next Swap! For those who have asked I do have extra coasters for sale and will post a link shortly. I am excited to have made this my next class locally at Stamping Details. Details are HERE.
Never will I look at another plain coaster again the same way! It was the perfect medium for some beautiful pieces!
"If you’re thinking exactly like everyone else, then you aren’t thinking. And the real trouble is if you don’t spend your life your way, other people will spend it their way. Freedom lies in being bold. Use your head to listen to your soul. Find the path that best suits your calling and don’t settle until you’ve found it. There’s no rush; life is a continuous journey."
