Mixed Media Monday Re-Cap 1/27/13 - "Love Grows"

Yesterday was a great day! I had the pleasure of seeing the twin's off to 6th grade camp and it was Mixed Media Monday! How can you beat that? I felt so inspired and I was really looking forward to our creative time. Here is what I painted LIVE:

Mixed Media Monday Re-Cap 1/20/14 - Watercolor Cards

Mixed Media Monday was another great night in the Studio. I just love sharing time with my Dad in there! He is so much fun and I know he enjoyed it too (he secretly loves the spotlight).

This monday was about keeping it simple (I am getting over the CHA flu I brought home with me) and sharing our artwork. There are a lot of cards I need to send this week and many friends who need prayers so I thought this was the best way to share. This was also one of my most favorite classes to teach in 2013.

2014 off to a Busy Start...

I do not know how to begin to even update what has been going on but to sum it up with one word....THANKFUL. Things have been so busy and in such wonderful ways. My house is full of family and I have done some amazing things to start 2014. I have a camera full of pictures of my whirlwind adventures including; time with friends to ring in 2014, a trip to Vegas for relaxation, time with the kids and parents, whale watching, CHA in Anaheim, two sicknesses and painting on the beach! That is just the first 20 days of this year! No wonder I have been sick twice that left me needing some rest. I have plans to make the most of this week with my parents before they leave and then unload the camera from those many adventures. This I know for sure....I am happy on the insides as I prep for a great 2014.

New things are on the horizon; my brand new website, more painting from my Studio, bigger Mixed Media Mondays!, more classes, Art from my HEART and so much more. I felt the need to just sit down and write to bring the blog current but looking forward to taking those feelings and words to canvas in my Studio.

This I know for sure.....those things that have started out my year have filled me up and put a smile on my face.

You are where you are for a reason and the Vision Board I made for 2014 right on the beach (that I will share in detail soon) focuses on what I already know for sure. May I look at it to remind me that path I am on is MY path and all for a reason. Looking forward to Mixed Media Monday tonight where my dad will be in Studio too painting LIVE!

What a great end to 2013! I swear I do not know where the time goes and I apologize for the delay in getting the January Creative Dare posted! The beginning of January has already been a whirlwind and I feel refreshed and happy. As I shared on our last Mixed Media Monday my word for 2014 is Believe...

I have traveled some bumpy roads, walked some miles and smiled, laughed and cried. I truly do Believe in my dreams, everything good is possible, I believe in those around me, Love and most of all in myself. There are some new and amazing things coming in 2014 and I am ready. I kind feel like I have been preparing all 43 years of my life. So with that said.........

Mixed Media Monday Re-Cap 12/30/13 - "Believe"

What a truly amazing year it has been. I know I say this all the time but this journey I am on is shared with so many others who come into my Studio every Monday and this Monday I shared that with none other then my Dad. My Dad is one of the most creative and inspiring peopel I know so to stand side by side with him and paint mean so much!

This Monday we are using our Word of the Year for 2014. Mine is BELIEVE. Here is the 11 X 14 Canvas I painted LIVE:

Mixed Media Monday Annual Card Swap 2013

Mixed Media Monday Re-Cap 6/18/13 - A GLASS BLAST!

Well, yet again the annual sparkly ornaments were A Glass Blast (literally)! As always even the cheap seats were full to see what would happen when I work with glass and of course I did not let you down. There is nothing like bustng a ball LIVE but I did just that! (ok, really I am trying to keep it clean). After many requests I brought the "Glittery Balls" back and it was a ton of fun.

I really loved Monday's Mixed Media Monday! It just felt and with my whole "Let It Go" philosophy for the holidays it really fit my mood. 2013 has gone by so fast and I plan on sending it out on a high note with all my many blessings. Knowing who I am and vhat I value during this busy holiday season is particularly important for me. I have also decided to continue to "LET IT GO" and not let the stresses of the season get to me. Things always have a way of working out, decorations get up, Christmas cards do get sent (or not), but the time you have with family and friends is the most valuable. Make time for YOU too!
