Last Monday I admitted I needed to create out of my comfort zone and was hired to paint two large paintings. One is large and vibranted (started it on Easter HERE) and the second needs to be a more "Grunge" style. That is outside of the creating box for me and I was open to any and all ideas this Mixed Media Monday. This was what was created from that Creative Collaboration...
MATERIALS LIST: Gesso, Decoupage & Paints (DecoArt - Cranberry Wine, Slate Grey, Napa Red, Zinc, Antique Teal, Soft Black), Stencils (The Crafter's Workshop), Ink: Tim Hotz, Charcoal Pencil, Ink: Daler Rowney & Dr. Ph. Martin's
If you missed it LIVE it is recorded for your viewing pleasure and available on my YouTube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/TraceB5....HERE:
Ustream was not cooperating with the chat which was lagging but I was effectively able to get all the suggestions coming my way. This was about just adding as I went along and trusting. After we went off air I added just a few more details...
I thank you for joining me and for all the participation! It was as always so much fun and a great way to motivate me to complete these two 20 X 24 paintings and ship them off in one week. Time to harness that creative mojo you all gave me and fly with it! As always I Dare you to take it out of the box and just play/experiment and try something new!
Prayers being said for all those who are effected by the tragedies in Boston, MA. I know that last night that was all on our minds and the Art filled our Hearts. I hope this week offers healing. Thank you again for filling my heart and my Mondays with Mixed Media Mania! I welcome everyone to join the Facebook Group HERE and share your projects! Don't forget our April 2013 Creative Dare too! See you next Monday!
"What you believe either weakens you or makes you stronger. If you want to give yourself the best gift you could ever receive, believe in yourself. The foundation of the success you desire is not based on being in a certain place, at a certain level of achievement, or a combination of external factors; it is simply a mindset. Success is an attitude that comes from powerful beliefs and empowering thoughts."

This is wonderful and it wasn't so hard to get out of the box! I have mine started but the scardey dog wants me to hold him during the storms instead of letting me paint:( Hopefully tonight I can finish.

You not only popped out of your comfort zone, you did it skillfully! Love that you grunged it up a bit--a cool look! Thanks, too, for the prayers for Boston! The President and Mrs. Obama will be here today--and visiting MGH!
