Last week was the Father/Daughter Dance for Michaela. She still wants me to get her ready and I am honored to spend that time with her. We went dress & shoe shopping and I got to curl all her golden locks.....
She still let's me take pictures and tell her just how pretty she is inside and out.....
I know being a mom of a girl those days are numbered for me......I am grabbing each and every moment I can as I send her out into that great big world.......
For now this Mom holds tight.......
and loves every minute of it with her Princess.
"When you follow your heart and intuition, people won’t always agree with you. When you find something that makes you happy, not everyone will be happy for you. When you show unwavering kindness to others, some people will question your motives. When you are honest to the core, some folks will attempt to use your honesty against you. When you look for the best in everyone you meet, a few of them will take advantage of it.
Don’t let any of these people stop you from doing these things. These people don’t matter. In the end, what does matter is how you feel about yourself and the life you have led. You will ask yourself one question: “Am I proud of how I lived?” Make the answer: “Yes!”
They never had those dance when my daughter was little. I think we missed out on something very special.

A treasured moment for all three of you! My daughter is now 36 and I still have a note she wrote to me after her prom thanking me for all the time I took off work, all the money I spent on dress and shoes and hair and nails, and how much she loved me. I got another such note after her wedding. How sweet these memories will remain over the years!
