Sunday my oldest turned 15! Happy Birthday Tyler! We rang in his special day with the family for dinner. Thank you Mom, Dad, Uncle Larry and Aunt Aud for dinner. Love all the laughs...
Monday I got the rare time to have some one-on-one time with Ty while the twins were canoeing with friends. We took advantage and took a drive into Brighton. We found a nice big parking lot for Ty to practice driving. It was fun to do this with him. Then we drove around seeing my high school which has grown a ton!
I was happy to take him to dinner where we found a Japanese steakhouse. We had no idea it was going to be Benihana-style which made it even more fun.
I appreciate those moments I can get to engage with my teenager. Ever since those teenage aliens have possessed him those stolen moments mean a lot to this mom...a great way to celebrate and eat great food.
A special note of thanks to E and Lee for having the twins over. I loved seeing how much fun they were having too! Such special times for us all.
You have no idea how much we love having you come in each year! The twins told me this morning they have never been camping so next year we would love to take them!! Thank you for visiting and letting us have time with your munchkins! We LOVE them! Mick, Joe and that stranger Ty - You are pretty swell too...

So glad you were able to have that special time. My son is 21 and we still have those times together. You're a swell mom so I think you and Ty will, too. :-) My 12 yr old is out with her dad tonight at a ballgame. We have to grab those moments before they slip away. BTW, I miss you, Tracy! :-) But I'm glad you're having a great time with family! Tell Glue Mom and Dad, Hi!
