Today's entry is all about music. I love it. Can't be without and I have a wide range of music that I love. From Eminem, Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker, Pink, Country, Rock, 80's to Phantom of the Opera and everything in between. The sound of a great base guitar is music to my ears. When I am in my studio I will put on Pandora and click on whatever suits the need. I workout with my iPod and without it would not be able to stand the humdrum of the treadmill. I also work to it, used to do homework to it and drive to it.
And hearing the twins sing in the choir, nothing beats it...(more to come on that, proud Mommy moment!)
So today, I am grateful for..........
- Adhesives: Helmar Decoupage & 450 Quick Dry

- Acrylic Paint - DecoArt

I am so grateful for music. As a piano teacher I get to hear some wonderful tunes and can follow my students as they participate in choirs, orchestras, etc. Lucky you to be able to hear your children raise their voices in song. Oh yeah, I sure would like to get this journal and all those wonderful products.

I remember my oldest son coming home from the first week of fifth grade and wanting to play the trumpet. I couldn't afford it, but he wanted it so bad, I could see it in his eyes. Grandma came through, and my boy brought home his trumpet. He practiced in his room in the basement, and for awhile, it sounded like an elephant giving birth. He stayed with it, and before long he was winning local and state awards, and then, in 8th grade, it was no longer cool - and he dropped music. He started playing a guitar his dad got him, and at 25, has had his own band and is quite the musician and singer. There were days I thought I couldn't stand one more note...but then it was awesome. Music.

Wow we have similar crazy lil black dogs and twins in common...my twin daughters play clarinet instead of sing though. But music is a very important component in our home. I can't hold a note or read one but an avid listener too. My oldest son wants to be a music engineer. Music is the glue that binds our family!
