Welcome to the Helmar Blog Hop! I am honored and excited to feature Helmar's Acid Free Glue...
This is one of my most favorite adhesives! It was originally made for book binding so it is strong, acid free, does not yellow and does not buckle your paper. It is perfect for all those Altered Art projects. Today I want to show some quick and easy techniques using this awesome adhesives.
For my first project I purchased this inexpensive recycled journal.
Since I have to pretty everything up, I immediately turn to my Acid Free Glue. I quickly gathered products from some of my favorite manufacturers:
- Nikki Sivils, "UR Pretty" Patterned Paper
- Creative Impressions Ribbon, Bling & Blossoms & Leaves
- Magic Mesh
Now remember the idea is quick and easy so I simply place a thin layer of Acid Free Glue on the outside face of the journal. Helmar sells a handy little glue spreader or I use an inexpensive foam brush to get that thin layer. When I am done with the brush I simply rinse it off and it is ready to re-use.
I finished the project by adding the ribbon, Magic Mesh, Flowers & Bling to create this adorable journal:
You know all those restaurant coasters? Cover them, alter them, Acid Free Glue them!
What a great inexpensive album but don't tell your local restaurants I suggested you borrow their coasters.
How about this inexpensive frame.........Acid Free Glue it
Chipboard embellishments......Acid Free Glue them. Your crop buddy.......Acid Free Glue her. Ok, forget that last one. I am getting carried away but you get the idea.
Thanks for hopping by and seeing just one of my favorite Helmar products. I bet you would love to get your hot little hands on a bottle. Well here is your chance.
For your chance to win a 4.23 fl. oz. bottle of Helmar Acid Free Glue please leave a comment attached to this post. We will randomly select a winner to win a free bottle. Good luck!

Hi. Pinky sent me your way! I had never even heard of Helmar. It sounds like it would have helped me on this layout, which I had a very hard time completing: http://kmassman-scrapbooks-cards.blogspot.com/2010/03/hardware-store-challenge.html It stayed together long enough for me to photograph it for a contest. But, looking at it a day later, I still need to use a stronger glue on the sandpaper letters. I would love to win a bottle of it to try it out. If it is as good as Pinky and you say it is, I will probably fall in love with it! And, I would recommend it to my stamping/paper crafting friends! I am always looking for a good adhesive!!!
Thanks for the opportunity!
