9/11/01....I was
pregnant with twins
taking my 4 year old to preschool
met a longtime friend for lunch
witnessed two amazing American towers fall to the earth into a pile of rubble.
called family
cried
held my family and prayed
was proud to be an American
9/11/12....I am
watching those twins grow-up, 10 years old
seeing my 15 year old take the bus to school
will call that now-lifelong friend on our lunch anniversary date
will remember those towers I had been in personally
will call my family
may shed a tear
will continue to hold my family and remember
am still proud to be an American
It is just not another day....one we will Remember and Never Forget.
