I love the ocean and beach. There is something about sinking my toes into the sand and just letting it go. I grew up a fresh water girl from The Great Lake State but I have adapted over the past 20 years to love the salt water. I miss the sound of a lake with the water lapping into the shore but there is something about the sound of the waves rolling in that I just love.
I live so close to the water and we spend lots of time there in the summer when we can but when it starts to cool down I go into hibernation and miss it. So this week I decided when the work day was done and I had some time on my own it was down to the beach I was going. I needed a little "me" time so I packed a little cooler, grabbed my favorite book, my camera and I was there with my toes in the sand.
I don't think enough of us (especially Moms) take that time to do what we love. I had the best time just people watching, waiting for the sun to go down kicking back and what a fitting chapter to be reading...
